Purpose

This data is used to provide the product, secure accounts and improve the experience.

Google Sign-In Data

When you sign in with Google, we receive the following information from Google: email address, first name, last name, and language preference (via the openid, email, and profile scopes). This data is used solely to create and identify your Gaston account, personalize your display name, and detect your language. It is stored in our database for as long as your account is active, is not shared with third parties, and is not used to train AI models. You may request deletion at any time via the contact page, after which it will be erased within 30 days.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage on your device for the purposes below. Optional analytics are only enabled if you accept them, from the cookie banner, the site footer, or your account settings.

Essential (always active)

Session and security (gaston_session), language preference (gaston_locale), TV pairing mode when applicable (gaston_tv), a transient signup-flow cookie, and your recorded consent preferences (gaston_cookie_consent).

Analytics (optional)

If you opt in, we use PostHog to understand how the product is used. Refer to PostHog’s documentation for details on their processing.

Change your choices anytime using “Cookie preferences” in the footer or in Settings under Privacy.
